Online learning that actually moves the needle

Udemy, Coursera Plus, Skillshare, Pluralsight, MasterClass. The right one depends on whether you want a one-off course, a structured path, or a subscription you'll use weekly.

Udemy's $10-15 sale prices are near-constant — we don't list them, they're the default. The interesting deals are on Coursera Plus (annual subscription for $59-99/year during specific windows, normally $399) and MasterClass (annual plan, occasionally 50% off). For technical skills (coding, data, cloud), the platforms that matter most are PluralSight and A Cloud Guru. Both run annual deals in the $150-300 range. Skillshare is the budget option at $100-150/year, with variable quality. We mark deals as "verified for 2026" if the discount actually applies at checkout, not just on the marketing page. Skillshare in particular is notorious for advertising 50% off then making you enter a code at the second step.
